Chipperton
Jane Chipperton was Head of RE
and Head of Year in a large middle school in Bedfordshire, leaving her post in
2000 after 19 years of teaching to become Diocesan Adviser for Religious
Education and Collective Worship. She is based at the Diocesan Resource
Centre in St Albans. Jane works mainly with church schools and clergy,
offering CPD on RE, Collective Worship, Holocaust Memorial Day and SMSC
throughout the Diocese. She works closely with resources in RE, offering
advice for schools in all key stages. She organises the RE resources for
teachers in Bedfordshire schools; these have now been re-housed at St Mark's Church in
Bedford.
Jane is a member of the RE
Council and has worked with the National Society, training church school
inspectors. She has been involved with national initiatives in RE and the
new system of inspection of church schools.
